The electrical conductance of the skin changes with the activity (filling level) of the sweat glands. Recorded using disposable or reusable electrodes.

Red blood corpuscles absorb infra-red light. If tissue to which there is a good blood supply is exposed to infra-red light and the amount of reflected or transmitted light measured, minute fluctuations in intensity are observed as a result of the flow of red blood corpuscles. These fluctuations are filtered out and processed.

Recorded with the reflex pulse sensor.
