Our employees are dedicated to making things better - at work and beyond. Two colleagues started a great initiative and together the whole SCHUHFRIED team collected donations for the Caritas "Gruft".

In the run-up to Christmas, place an item in a box every day and ultimately donate the contents. This is how the reverse Advent calendar works. Because everything is better together and the more the better for such a good cause, our colleagues asked if anyone would like to take part in their campaign. Despite home office and the Covid situation, many answered their call. Several boxes were filled with food, hygiene articles, hats, scarves, boots and sleeping mats.

This wonderful idea, the commitment of the colleagues and the willingness of everyone to participate without hesitation also included our management. Therefore, this heartfelt action was additionally supported with a generous monetary donation.

We at SCHUHFRIED have not seen each other (in person) for months in some cases, yet we feel very close these days.

To all our customers, partners and SCHUHFRIED friends & colleagues: Merry Christmas from the bottom of our hearts, a Happy New Year and stay healthy!

What is "Die Gruft"?

For over 30 years, the "Gruft" (en.: Crypt) has been Vienna's best-known Caritas facility for homeless people. It offers people who are on the street a safe haven and human warmth. 365 days a year. 24h a day. Those affected receive a warm meal, a place to sleep, clean clothes and the opportunity to shower at the Gruft. The team at the Gruft helps homeless people find their way back into society.
