Success Story: From Paper to Digital

St.Franziska-Stift successfully switches to digital testing. In this success story you can find out about the advantages of digital tests in everyday clinical practice!

In the past, the St. Franziska-Stift used classic paper questionnaires as part of the initial diagnostics and to check the quality of the rehabilitation process at the end of treatment. The answers were transferred by hand into an Excel spreadsheet. This administrative process took about 15 minutes per patient. The aim of the project was to automate this manual process in order to be able to use the available staff resources more on patients again. The system for evaluation should also be operable by all users and without special technical knowledge and offer maximum flexibility.

The first step was to clarify which questionnaires could be replaced by which products from the SCHUHFRIED portfolio. One questionnaire that could not be replaced was custom-programmed by SCHUHFRIED. In a second step, the Vienna test system and all questionnaires were installed on a local server at ctt-Reha-Fachkliniken GmbH.
Furthermore, six freely accessible PC test stations were set up where patients can work through the questionnaires independently. In order to facilitate the further use of the results, a customised results report was programmed in Microsoft® Word format into which results can be exported. Users were then trained by experienced experts from SCHUHFRIED in a two-hour online training session.

Automating the evaluation completely eliminates the 15-minute manual effort per patient. The freely accessible test stations coupled with the intuitive system also make the process easy and convenient for patients.

``Switching to digital testing<br /> offers tremendous advantages. It is more economical, the results<br /> are available more quickly, creating time that benefits patients. In addition, with the Vienna Test System, we have an enormous portfolio at our fingertips, which we can use as needed.``</p> <p>Thomas Wilde, MD<br /> Head Physician and<br /> Medical Director
