Test & Research Center

Make a contribution to science

To test the assessments in our Vienna Test System and keep them on the cutting edge, we need up-to-date test results. So we are always looking for people interested in participating in psychological testing at our Test & Research Center in Vienna. Interested? Then apply today now!

The advantages for you

You receive professional feedback on your personal test results and can thus check your own performance. By participating, you will support psychological research and development work that improves healthcare, for example in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

Participants will receive a small remuneration for their time. Payment occurs immediately after testing and usually consists of 8.00 euro per hour calculated on a quarter-hour basis. If a study spans several participation dates, payment always occurs on the last day.

If you recommend us to a friend, we will add an additional thank you of 3.00 euro to your next remuneration.

Please understand that we can pay out this bonus only once a new participant has completed at least one testing session. It does not apply for persons who are already listed in our respondent database. We reserve the right to withhold the bonus in cases of fraud of any kind.

The process

Our test times are Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day.

Testing duration varies between one and three hours depending on the specific test.

Prior to testing, the use of the Vienna Test System and the test process will be explained to you. At the end, our staff will discuss the test results with you and be available to answer any further questions on your results.

Depending on the current program, various tests can be selected, for example of:

  • Ability to concentrate and react
  • Intelligence
  • Memory
  • Lexical knowledge
  • Personality traits
  • Vocational interests

Conditions

In principle, any person over 14 years of age can participate, regardless of education.

Many of our tests require essentially no computer skills. Thanks to our response panel, you can participate even if you have difficulty with computer, mouse, or touch screen.

We will be happy to inform you of the preconditions for specific current tests (such as a particular native language or profession).

Use of Data

Any result of psychological testing is always a comparison with other individuals. To guarantee a fair comparison, we need test results from as many different individuals as possible. For example, younger people generally have shorter reaction times than older people do. So it would not make sense to compare the results of older people with those of younger people. We need test results from both age groups.

New tests that are developed must be checked for quality. Does the test actually measure what it is supposed to? Are the measurements reliable? These and other questions are essential in test development and can be answered using the data we gather at our Test & Research Center.

Psychological testing is used to examine many fascinating social and political questions. For example, are there differences between people who have had a traffic accident and those who drive without accidents? Were those who had accidents more likely to take risks, or were there other influences? Are there links between personality, ability to react and driving behavior? To answer these and other questions, we conduct studies in our Test & Research Center.

Data privacy

Test results are stored anonymously. What is more, the test results are used solely in the Test & Research Center of SCHUHFRIED. The data are not passed on to third parties for other uses. Data protection is thus fully guaranteed.
