Assesses selective attention, decision speed and motor reaction speed in response to a succession of rapidly presented visual movement stimuli.
The test assesses the linked abilities of attention, decision-making and reaction speed in relation to movement. This complex reaction ability is measured in the upper ability range. The linking of attention, decision speed and reaction speed is important and very well known in everyday life, for example in driving situations and in high-level sport. Poor performance is often attributed to problems with one of these components or the combination of them. The MDT is therefore used in personnel psychology and in investigations in the fields of traffic psychology and sports psychology.
